Balder, what can I say. I think Liseberg have built the perfect coaster - smooth, fast, a good mix of
floating and powerful airtime, and to top it all, it manages to maintain the thrills and excitement right
to the end. The perfection of the coaster was only matched by the hospitality of the park - who could not
have done more for us. Roll on Tusenfryd...

Balder was an excellent coaster. Very smooth, with plenty of airtime. Definitely one of the best woodies
in the world! Lisebergbanan was absolutely flying last night. It felt like it had rockets on the back of
it! The hospitality from the park was again top notch, and I can't wait to return.

I know, it's been said before, but Balder is just astonishing! Thankfully the park it's in is also run
by astonishing people. Put together and we enjoyed yet another 'highlight' day. We're now on the road
to TusenFyrd to see how ThunderCoaster is! Life doesn't get much better.

Richard and Claire Davis
Liseberg has a really friendly atmosphere, with beautiful fountains, a waterfall, topiary bunnies and
two really smooth coasters. Just a shame we only had a few hours there. Balder is a truly world class
coaster.

Marc Cole
I got hammered and nailed on Balder! What great hospitality! Thanks Liseberg.
|

Eric Sakowski
Lively Liseberg lifted my spirits with Balder's amazing airtime and the best Schwarzkopf coaster ever.
And who would ever think they would let a bunch of liquered up crazies attack there new woodie with
hammers and nails.

Continuing from yesterday, I'm still tired! It has just been so hot, so much for "coolest coaster tour".
Liseberg however was fantastic. In my opinion best park on the tour so far. Balder was also absolutely
fantastic, just Thunder Coaster to look forward to in four hours time now. :-)

What an evening!! Hospitality proved to be exceptional and Balder... WOW!! Airtime in every seat and
on every drop. A great end to the day and yes.. to go along with my earlier comment as to if things
could have got better, they sure did!! Liseberg is an great park with a wonderful selection of rides.
Weather has proven to be quite a surprise but hey, riding in a fully loaded log flume provided a real
drenching! Thanks to all at Liseberg!!

Mick Fryer-Kelsey
Lovely surprise to have a beer in the garden under Balder, we were given hammer and nails to 'finish'
the coaster. The ride was worth waiting for, a fantastic wooden coaster, by Intamin. An experience
for coaster enthusiasts. I think it will be a Classic, certainly very high on my favorites list.
|
|
Liz Fryer-Kelsey
Lisebergbanan makes good use of the hill. Balder has loads of airtime, but is really smooth. The weather
has been very humid. At lunch we sat with Lasse Zagai, it was interesting hearing about the park and
some of the future plans too.

|
Crystal Fryer-Kelsey
Treated as VIP's. Balder broke down on ERS, so we got an extra surprise one this morning, after
Lisbergbanen. (Hello to everyone back home, postcards on their way. Miss you all and love you lots.)
|
|
Steve Fagin
These people really know how to entertain us. Squeezed three smooth circuits out of Balder before a
switch blew, but got back on there in the morning. Top stuff...
|
|
Rich Foster
FREE BEER AGAIN! mad mad night banging nails into coasters. fab fab fab. miss you squirrel.
|
|
Lisa Scheinin
Liseberg's Balder really hits the nail on the head! And they let us do the same. I look forward to the
group of us going through customs with Balder hammers in every bag! Balder is really an airtime machine
-- every seat on every hill. AWESOME RIDE!! And an awesome welcome from a wonderful park.
|
|
Rebecca Harper
Once again, the park exceeded my expectations. Balder is fantastic, and the nighttime ERS absolutely
brilliant. Still drying out from the log flume ride, Steve has truly perfected his "Doggie paddle"
splashing technique.

I have a new number 1 woodie coaster. Forget Megafobia and Tonnerre de Zeus. I was liking Balder when
I first saw it's name (having less hair than normal I should do) but riding it is something else.
Insane airtime on all hills throughout the car is something I didn't think possible. Liseberg also has
the wettest log flume that I have ever experienced.
|

David and Susan Ellis
Liseberg changed our lives. Lisebergbanan was a superb steel terrain coaster. Balder was an airtime bliss.
With the VIP free beer and spirits inside the summer house within the coaster, and being able to hammer
nails into the coaster and sign our names, all made for an amazing time. When do we go back?
|
|
Chris & Claire Mcfarlane
Well what can we say another great time at Liseberg with tremendous hospitality & a terrific new coaster.
|
|
Jack Holmes
Short message: balder the best, period!
|
|
Ian Mansfield
Just when I thought the trip couldn't get any better, along comes Liseberg! Two of the best coasters I've
ridden anywhere, and fantastic hospitality.
|
|
Andy Costin
Liseberg, another great park, and great hospitality. Free beer, free hammers, free nails. Balder -
another great coaster, even with the breakdown! Weather still hot, and not wearing my beloved tracksuit.
|
|
Olov "Splashed by Gloria" Lundell
While sitting here on the bus and writing this I'm actually quiet wet. Liseberg has two very nice water
rides, a flume and a rapids. And with some help from Gloria a got drenched on the flume ride. And of
course Liseberg has two great coaster, a very nice terrain steelie, Lisebergbanan and a great airtime
machine, Balder. So far the all people on this trip has been very nice.

Balder - A coaster this wild has no business being this smooth! I watched it from the 14th floor of
the hotel and after seeing the crazy changes of direction this thing does, I was expecting a brutal
ride. It was smooth as glass! Wild crazy and wonderfully re-ridable! Thanks Liseberg!

Steve Brett
Can`t believe how lucky we are with the weather, every day seems to be warmer than the previous one!
Hi to everyone home, Pot and TMI again. Missing you all, having a great time...and just dried out
from the Log Flume.
|
|
Martin Valt
Liseberg's a brilliant park. Awesome couple of coasters in new Intamin woodie Balder and classic
Schwarzkopf Lisebergbanen. Wettest flume ride ever thanks to Steve "Sharron Davies" Brett. At least
our (damp) Chairman enjoyed it.
|
|
Tony Pycroft
As we have now come to expect from this trip, another great park with superb rides and fantastic staff.
Liseberg are quite right to be proud of Balder, it is quite simply an airtime machine. Now on way to
one of the best coasters in Europe, ThunderCoaster at TusenFryd! Hi to all on ECC-PH List.

I thought I saw it all regarding park hospitality, however when I heard hammers going underneath the
ride, I learned it was our group pounding nails into boards on the structure! Beer and wine with hammers
flying - what a welcoming reception to a coaster I was eagerly waiting. The wait was worth it.
I have seven number one coasters - this in one of them!! What a GREAT ride - very smooth, very fast,
very fun! I am very impressed. Sitting in seats in the front of the train provides air time extortionaire!
THIS IS ONE RIDE YOU NEED TO GET TO - AND OFTEN!
General Comment #2: The other day I talked about the announce-less queues I've experienced this entire
trip. I now found the perfect way to make those dreaded announcements and put to use those CATV (Captive
Audience Television) monitors still located in queues of many American coasters. Balder had a few screens
in line that showed a safety video - similar to what many airlines now show when preparing for take off.
The announcements were made and then when you got to the boarding area, you got on and rode without having
to hear an employee trying to read it over the station microphone. This would be a great idea to make use
of the ones still found in some American parks. Get rid of the propaganda now being shown and use it for
the more important safety announcements.

Mike & Kammy Sislofsky
We really love Liseberg! It has a great variety of rides for young and old, is very well landscaped,
and has 2 world-class roller coasters. Everybody must visit Liseberg and ride Air Balder. You'll surely
be glad you did.
|
|
Austin Rathe
Liseberg was the highlight so far, i gained a new number 1 woodie in Balder, and the rest of the park was
green, clean and well themed. Now heading for Thundercoaster, maybe i'll have another number 1 tomorrow?
|
|
Dan Spooner
Liseberg is a great park - and nice hammer to boot.
|
|
Tim Galvelis
Thanks to Derek I have to be brief. Balder and I both got hammered last night. Free beer again. I finally
got to ride Lisebergbanen, and loved it. Balder is simply amazing, very smooth, very fast, and full of
airtime. More later.

Lindsey & Daren Hoy
Liseberg - home to the wonderful Balder. A silky smooth ride with more Airtime than i don't know what!
Defiantly up there with the favorites. One seriously rapid rapids! And very very wet!! But really great
fun. Lisebergbanan was a great smooth ride. Seems a lot faster than what it really is (and it's already
quite quick) with the trees rushing past you at an incredible rate.
A really enjoyable day, made even better by the great staff and the surprise "fixing" of the Balder
Coaster during the evening ERS. Thanks Liseberg!!
|
|
Jim Terneborg
Thanks Liseberg for a great night and great morning ERS.If you want to get wet sit next to Linz, she is
like a "water magnet". Watch out for Gloria she can also make you totally wet.
|
|
Derek Cromarty
Luscious Liseberg lived up to my limitations.
|
|
Andreas Mueller
Perfect day in Liseberg. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and they cared about us, as much as you can.
Really great trip so far.
|
|
Stephen Wimberly
The generosity of lisabaun was outdone only by the shear speed and fantastic thrill of the Lisebergbanan
which was outdone by the hammering of the Balder Roller Coaster. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed
our experience at the park and was impressed by the beautiful landscape.
|
|
Elaine Harper
Balder was amazing. Liseberg very nice park with a very wet log flume :-) Hi to everyone at home!
