Coaster was a great surprise, a fantastic first drop plummenting right to the ground, with some great
twists to finish off.

Both Bakken and Tivoli have great Scenic Railways. Very underrated rides with plenty of airtime! Both
parks were very hospitable, making this trip another fantastic trip.

My first note has to start with thanks to ECC for extending the invitation to join you on the tour. The
parks, Tivoli, BonBon Land and Bakken, each were great. Each on provided it own hospitality and fun, and
with any tour like this, I wish I had more time to find even more hidden jems! My own thought so far has
been the quote "Get in, sit down and RIDE!" This has been great and can't wait to see Liseberg.

Just a short report on Bakken's old scenic railway. It's awesome! All bruises on my legs and right arm
were worth it.

I'm so tired. The last couple of days have been fantastic. All the parks have been excellent also.
Battery on the laptop running out now, so I will leave it there so everyone else gets a chance.

A wonderful afternoon/evening at Bakken where the ride ops on the Rutschbanen treated us especially
well. Where else could we have taken in the sun in the garden "inside" the coaster with free beer whilst
hearing the sounds of other club members enjoying their own private train on the coaster and watch other
club members clambering all over the ride. Does it get better than this with regards to park hospitality?
Time will see… The Mine Train proved to be a major surprise to those - that drop!! Another amazing day!!

Bakken--Olov, the new manager, didn't let us down, he was just as good a brakeman as the one 2 years ago.
The coaster was as extreme as ever, especially with a car to ourselves all the time during our visit.
Tivoli--The behind the scenes tour was very interesting, seeing places not normally seen by the public.

Bakken- We had a continuous ERS from the time we arrived, until we left. Thank-you Bakken. The ride
seemed very rough, compared to two years ago, but later in the evening, with less braking it was far
better and more manic ... it was great!

Bakken- We had 2 hours non-stop riding on Rutschbanen before the buffet dinner. Then we rode again for
2 hours after the meal. Tivoli- Rutschbanen- no stapling- very good. Love to all my friends.

Great hospitality from the Danes...a beer garden in Bakken, and a 'relaxed' ERS on Rutsche--this morning
when I improvised a backwards ride. One of the punters pointed out Sweden from the top of the drop tower
at Tivoli, and that's where we're headed now...

Rutschbanen was running wonderful-so was I.
|
|
Lisa Scheinin
Bakken was even better this time than last trip, and I didn't think that was possible. The tour behind
the scenes on the Rutschebanen and the all-day exclusive train were fantastic (and the beer was a welcome
surprise)! Just great!

The water-rides at the parks are actually becoming the highlights of my trip. Managed to get absolutely
drenched on the log flume at Bakken with the help of a little splashing; better still was nearly managing
to capsize our boat at Tivoli's Mine River Cave style ride. T-shirt still wet as I write! (sorry, no
pictures).
|
|
Malcolm Marr
Another great day at Bakken. The rides were being run on their full cycles, unlike what we're subjected
to in the UK, A particular brutal log flume and an insane mine train ride were the highlights for me.

Bakken was a great park, with an amazing collection of traditional rides and a scenic railway that would
give any coaster in the world a run for its money. We even got free Beer on arrival! The Mine Train Ulven
(Intamin) was a real thrill too. One of the highlights was being able to climb all over the Rutschebanen
coaster, including the maintenance area and all over the roof! Top Park…top staff.
|
|
Bobby Nagy
Chapter one of this short adventure story was bound to be the best. The shakey walk backs were a bigger
thrill than the rides themselves!! Now onto the Swedish leg!!
|
|
Jack Holmes
Day 3...Bakken yesterday was amazing, withy the wildest scenic coaster ever, and the home I want to live
in forever smack in the middle of it. Onward to Sweden and Balder !!!
|
|
Ian Mansfield
Bakken was fantastic, what more can I say. They treated us like kings, stuffing us fat with good food and
FREE beer! Oh, and the coaster was pretty good, too!
|
|
Andy Costin
FREE BEER! yeah, yeah-I'm teetotal! (more's the pity!) Rutschebane-top woodie for one built in 1932!
Bakken-great park, great hospitality.Another visit to Tivoli this morning, and toured the Rutshebane
behind the scenes. Don't try salted liquorice ice cream!! I did-YEEEEEUUUUUUUUUGH!!!!!!
|
|
Rich Foster
Bakken: "Fix that Door!!" serious trip joke :) fantastic park, fantastic people. most amazing scenic
railway - I know many modern woodies that aren't a patch on this !
|
|
Ric Turner
The surprise for me at Bakken was Mine Train Ulven! Total insanity from the second you leave the lift
to the brake at the end. OK, so it doesn't look like a mine train, but it is totally twisted and
unpredictable with train sounds playing on the on board audio! Bakken also provided me a once in a
lifetime experience to get a ride to the top of the structure, stop and let me out to shoot video of
the trains flying around the structure! Then I caught another train like hailing a cab for a ride to
turn two! What an unexpected treat! Thanks Bakken!

Think the battery is dead. Having a brilliant time and the bruises are coming along nicely. Scraped my
right elbow too! Those scenic railways are NOT the sedate rides I thought they were!
|
|
Tim Galvelis
FREE BEER! That's how we started out at Bakken, and it got even better with 6 hours of ERS on the scenic
railway. My favorite minetrain is Minetrain Ulven. I can't believe they even consider it a minetrain.
Today we went back to Tivoli for a great behind the scenes tour of their scenic railway, a great lunch,
and a great way to say goodbye to a fantastic park on our trip. More Later, Tim

Andy Costin (Tracksuit Man)
Great trip so far, Tivoli Park was fun, fun, fun! Bon Bon Land with its Dog Fart Coaster et al was right
up my street, humour wise! Weather has been so warm i've had to take off my tracksuit & wear shorts!
(shock, horror!).

I've died and gone to Bakken - I mean heaven! In 2001, we had a great time - this year was outstanding!!!
The behind the scenes tour, photo ops, quality of coasters and the friendly staff - this place will be
hard to beat. Don't forget to "Fix that Door!" Tivoli Gardens, p-art two was it's usual quality time.
What a gem of a park.
Overall comment - it's only been three days and with all the coaster rides and other attractions I've
experienced so far, one thing has been refreshingly missing from the experience - no $%&**^$ ride
announcements! Just get in and go. My idea of a great ride! Northward to Sweden.

Best scenic railway at Bakken, cute brakenmen! Definitely a Marty Moltz dining experience at Tivoli.
Able to enjoy the great architecture in Denmark.
|
Austin
Bakken was excellent, the best mine train I have ever been on. It had a very "fairground" feel to it, but
without the tack or teenagers.
