Today we went to Lauri's brand new park (whatever the actual name is). Unfortunately, the rain intruded on the fun. But Lauri has some fun antique rides including an Ely Wheel. It was nice to see the result of years of hard work from Lauri and his team.

Today we found ourselves at Lauri's Park on miserably bad day, weather wise, but a good visit still. Good Luck Lauri.

Lauri's Park is a very nice family park that we unfortunately got rained on during the entire time, but I want to visit again on a nice day, and we got fed a fabulous meal. Good luck to Lauri. You deserve the best!

Although Lauris Park is very small and it was a washout after a long journey i still found it a very enjoyable day and well worth it. It was very interesting to visit a park started from scratch by a club member . he did well.

Chris & Dan (GCII Guys)
We had rain our entire time at Lauri's Park. Small park with alot of potential but still fun now. It's great to see someone following his dreams and making it happen rather then just dreaming about it. Best of luck.

Cal Jones
Great little park, shame about the weather! Best of luck, Lauri.

Die Threeeee. All Dee hicemotes aise addi re in the swimming pooool...Well done! Nice to meet someone se with the balls to pack in the day job to acheive what I would consider impossible. All the best; you've come far!

Jeff Waters
Cold rainey day, but still enjoyed this little park. A roller coaster would be a wise addition.

Nina Kleppe
Had a nice day at Lauri's Park. Got to do almost all the rides, but it would be nice if it had a rollercoaster too. Shame that it was cold and rainy.

Darren and mary
lovely day at a small park, nice to see the way in which parks evolve, lets hope it works for Laurie. Shame about the weather.

Mick Fryer-Kelsey
Lauri's Park had no coaster and it was pouring with rain, but it didn't stop me from trying out the rides. We rode some of the kiddie rides, including the baby go karts. The Miami was good fun. Hopefully the park will grow in the future and we'll be back.

Liz Fryer-Kelsey
The Mouse family would enjoy this park, with it's selection of older rides. Especially the children's wheel with space ships for cars. Whilst sheltering from the rain, we had the opportunity to chat with members from the other two coaches.

Jim Lawrence
Thanks for a great day Laurie. Look to visiting again one day. All the best for this season. Hopefully visit you soon and see some more classic rides.

I would have enjoyed Laurie's park more if the sun were shining. Unfortunately it poured. This didn't stop me from taking a ride on the Eli Wheel, however, and I thoroughly enjoyed that. Staff were courteous and the park was nice and welcoming. I certainly take my hat off to Laurie; what an amazing man with an amazing vision. I wish him every success.

Laurie's Park was amazing! As the baseball mantra says "If you build it they will come". Laurie built his baby park and we showed up; I hope more people do the same. So if you happen to be passing through the centre of Finland do pop by. I watched Simon type his report and he never took his cap off!

Lutz
Come along, come along, ... and hug (and support) Laurie!

andycoasterboy
all the best in the future....real shame about the weather...

Terry Jarvis
there are no coasters, just a few travelling fairground style rides. had a great afternoon, and this park can only get better and better.

Tracksuit Man (Guess Who!)
Mother Nature, you bitch! (for the pouring rain). Just a nice little park. Could have had fun if the sun was out. I wish Laurie all the best for the future. GCI Woodie...When, when, when? Soon I hope! We'll be back.

Coastin' Carl
Good luck to Lauris and his dream if he serves Yahu'shua well. Nokkakiven Puisto was quite clean and a nice little park to grow and do good things. I am praying for you BTW.

Patrick Flumet
Heureux de pouvoir supporter un membre du club qui a ouvert son propre park pour de vrai et pas sur un computer...

Hector Jimenez
El parque Lauris es un sueno cumplido de un miembro. Que tenga mucho suerte,

Chris Hull
Lauri, nice to see your venture into the world of the amusement park. Good luck for the future!

David & Susan Ellis
Today we did something unusual. It is not every day you get to visit an amusement park founded by a club member, so to visit the park owned by ECC member Lauri was a real privilege. Lauri has done something some of us would love to do in theory but never actually have the determination to see it through. His park has a nice collection of rides he has obtained from parks that were closing down, including a fun Miami, a paratrooper, a Round-up, Big Wheel and a collection of childrens rides. The weather did its best to spoil things, with heavy rain throughout our visit, but many of us braved the elements to support Lauri and ride his rides. Tonight we are heading to Sarkanniemi to get some exclusive late rides after the park has closed. Fingers crossed the rain stops!

Although today we did not ride a roller coaster, it was still a special day. We had the special opportunity to visit a roadside amusement park that is being created by an ECC club member. This is something that many of us have dreamed of doing, but have not been able to accomplish. Lauri has been able to pull it off with Nokka Kiven Amusement Park. This one acre fun place has a nice assortment of rides, mostly for the younger set. Even though we were stricken with rain, I was able to try out three of Lauri's attractions: the Paratrooper, magic carpet and the kiddie go karts. On the latter ride, I now know what it is like for a Shriner Clown to perform in the circus! (Those seats were really small, or maybe I am that big!) All the best to Lauri for following his dream. I hope to return in the future to an even bigger park.
Tonight we have a bonus ERS at Sarkanniemi after the park shuts for the night (Now I'm starting to talk like the Brits - been around them too much.) I'm sure we'll tip a few pints somewhere on the way back to the hotel.

Derek Cromarty
Ditto, again!

Today we went to Lauris Park. Lauri is a member of the ECC who has started his own small amusement park. There arent any coasters here, but we were to ride some of his flat rides to support him and his park. Unfortunately it rained for the 2 hours we were there and most of us did not ride. Last night we visited another Finnish pub. Everyone here speaks English pretty well. We are quite spoiled. Its embarrassing that most of us Americans dont speak more than one language

Kevin Moran
Thanks to Laurie for hosting us! Hes on his way to realizing his dream.

Steve Fagin
Despite the drizzle, this was a nice little peek into one of our fellow enthusiast's dreams. As I'm writing this, we're off to Sarkanniemi to ride Tornado...

Lars Sorensen
Nice little park Lauri has build. The round-up and the Miami was good, and so was the donuts :)

Daniel Almer
All the best to Lauri and his park. It was nice to see his dream coming alive. The popcorn was very good.

Matthias Pies
Es war mal interessant zu sehen wie ein Freizeitparkfan seinen Traum vom eigenen Park verwirklicht. Ich wuensche Lauri alles Gute fuer seinen Park vllt kommen wir eines Tages zurueck.

Ken Simmons
It's too bad the rain decided to be around today, as it kept us from fully enjoying Lauri's Park. This is a nice little roadside park, and hopefully it will be a great success.

Andy Dewar
Lauri has done a great job restoring his rides, they are in great condition. I hope it has a successful future.

Adam King
We arrived at Lauris park and were greeted by Lauri and the rain. Well done to Lauri for creating his own park. Its a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed riding the attractions in the rain (heavy rain), which kinda turned the park into a big water park!! We also enjoyed a great meal. Oh, have I mention it rained yet???

Bob Clark
The dream turns into reality - great work - and best of luck for the future.

Nick Bowler
Fair play to Lauri and his venture. The rain spoiled the day. A long trip for, in my case, one ride, but as always the atmosphere was great.

Steve Gzesh
Okay, so the rain today was a bit of a drag, but it was a cute little park to visit today -- even without any coasters there. I'll top 600 coasters on my list at the next park, so I'm psyched for that!

Alan & Owen
The best of luck to Lauri. enjoyed the gravity wheel, Miami was had a long manual programe.

Matt Crowther
Despite the rain which forced us all to huddle under shelter it was neat to see the park which seemed to be very clean and well-maintained. I wish Lauri the best in making his dream come true.

Richard Bannister
Three rides for me today; the Round-Up, Paratrooper, and Miami. The Miami was being run on full manual mode, and the operator knew his business. Nice stuff. I don't think there's a person on this trip who wouldn't like to be doing what Lauri is. I really hope he can make it work in the longer term.
