Wow! Powerpark proved to be a surprise to me. Small park but with well maintained rides. Thunderbird - A fantastic coaster! Go-karting was a really nice addition with some fun racing (fast and slow!) between club members. Nice buffet to end the day. Thanks to all staff for making our visit so enjoyable.
Malcolm Marr
Andy Huckle beat me :(
Powerpark was awesome, more go-karts please trips monkeys!!
Keith J.
Great park, great coaster, what more can you ask for? More ERS:)
Lutz
Why did they build such a fantastic park, with such great people, such a great wooden coaster and the best go-kart track in the world in the middle of nowhere?
Christof M.
Wow! A boomerang that's actually re-rideable!
andycoasterboy
aye - Kurumba Powerpark today :) home to the amazing Thunderbird - a ride every park should own - It was great to watch members loading and despatching trains. The go-kart track complex was great fun and good to be the fastest on bus 1 around the track :) sorry Talhat.
Jeff Holmes
What a fantastic park Powerpark is. An amazing woodie in the name of Thunderbird. also a great organised go-kart race which Andy Schumacher Huckle won in his team, well done Paul Worts for waving the chequered flag!!!!
Kat s.
What a fantastic day! starting with Thunderbird, my 400th coaster. It is practically a perfect 'woodie'. Great food and live entertainment at the go kart track ended with sunlight at 11pm!?
Talhat M.
Magnificent! I'll get you next time Andy.
Andy Costin (Tracksuit Man)
A really great coaster and one of the best ERS's I've seen for a while (Even though it was "Laaate!"). The go-karting was an absolute blast. I'm not the next Lewis Hamilton but it was very competitive. The food was also really good. Pity about the weather but a little bit of rain made Thunderbird run even quicker.
Terry Jarvis
Thanks to the park for a great day. The woodie is fantastic. Another GREAT ride from GCI.
Coastin' Carl
PowerPark was so clean, with great rides in the middle of nowhere. Thunderbird is the northernly most roller coaster and is another smooth GCI ride. The high speed go-kart circuit was quite nice, giving you a feeling of going up to 70 km/h. I did manage not to wipeout BTW.
Patrick Flumet
Quelle magnifique journee.
Mette Doving
Great day at a great park. Thunderbird was a really great ride. Enjoyed the ERS a lot. Thanks a lot to the park staff, nice and friendly. Fun as well on the go karts, and I did not end last :-)
Har det helt topp.
Nina Kleppe
A really good day at Power Park today. A nice little park with some good rides. The Drop Tower was powerful, and it was a lot of fun driving the Gokarts. The ERS on The Thunderbird was great. A superb wood coaster from GCI. WOW!!!
Martha Andrews
The park is lovely. Thunderbird is great fun!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a supercool day, just not enough time there.
Simon Baynham
Thunderbird: A fast out of control twister with plenty of thrilling hills and turns, and with absolutely no unpleasantness. I cannot think of a bad thing to say about it. Conclusion: Thunderbird is definitely F.A.B.
Gordon Taylor
Die Too...What a foontasteec die!...(That's enough BB Voice over jokes. Ed) What a gr8 park, gr8 rides and fab staff. Brill gocarts, fab food and horse-brutality.. Thank you SO much. And a most photogenic, work or art of an excellent coaster named after my favourite drink; Thunderbird! Was that John Wayne at the entrance..? "Truley this COASTER is the son of Gawd..!"
Cal Jones
What a gem of a park this is. Aside from Cobra, possibly the smoothest Boomerang on the planet, there's plenty of great rides here. Highlight of the day was undoubtedly the ERS on Thunderbird, which was awesome and went like poop through a goose. My favourite GCI so far. Great meal as well. Cheers to Power Park.
Pjotr Everts
We went to PowerPark today. It was my first time there. It's a very nice park with a good set of rides. Their woodie Thunderbird is an amazing ride, it delivers a great out-of-control feeling. Their outdoor go-kart track is also amazingly good, it's the best go-kart track I've been on. Kuddo's for PowerPark! Can't wait for my next visit.
Tonny Schonewille
What a fantastic day! Thunderbird's a great coaster - almost as good as Troy. Went go-karting for the first time - failed in many different ways. I wouldn't get a driver's license even if I tried (sorry mom!).
Tim Galvelis
Mom, send more beer! Power Park is fantastic! Got to ride the most amazing go-karts today, mangaged to only spinout 4 times, and finished ahead of Spinner. HA! Finally found competetion for Kentucky Rumbler in Thunderbird, this coaster is an airtime beast. Now, back to the beer......
Rob Hill
Outstanding!! The park, the Thunderbird, the staff, the Go-Karts, the food, EVERYTHING!! Thunderbird instantly made my Top Ten Woodie list, and the staff make you feel so welcome there that you don't want to leave. The Go-Karts race was quite challenging (more so than I expected if you know what I mean), and I wish I could cook like THESE guys can. I can't wait to
Peter W,Oakes.
A great park. The Thunderbird was great as it gave a great feeling of speed. Its layout is like a Singapore vermacelli.
I got a good photo of it from the top of the ferris wheel. The boomerang was the first I ever ridden and it was great.
I liked the fast turns on joyride. i loved the frisbee as they always give a feeling of flying. The buffet was nice and i wonder if the model planes in the room were real flying models.
I think it was a good idea using retired aircraft as themeing. Shame i missed my go on the go Karts. one thing i didn't like was that the gillotine paused for too long before the drop.
Bill Buckley
Overall, a very nice park and a great day. Thunderbird is a real winner and my current favourite GCI coaster (sorry, Troy, your reign only lasted 3 days!!). The coaster was only challenged by the go karts! Fantastic speed and excitement...a real thrill!! The owner of the park was very gracious, and his hospitality was very welcomed. Shame it didn't translate across his entire staff (reference to the rude woman running the Booster ride - thanks for nothing). However, one moody bird couldn't spoil an otherwise fantastic day. Power Park is a park I'd like to visit again in the future.
Chris and Dan (THE GCII GUYS)
WOW what a great day. From the beginning to the end. Thunderbird is still running great. It's one of the coolest looking wooden coasters in the world. It's also the northern most coaster the planet. Thanks to Jorma and Vellu for a great day of events. Oh ya the go karts, you only need four words to describe, BEST IN THE WORLD. It's going to be very difficult for any park to give us the personal attention as POWERPARK. For being a fairly new park people don't need to worry about running out of things to do. I can only imangine in several more years!
DARREN AND MARY
DELIGHTFUL park, both Darren and I took an active part in the ERS, DARREN RODE LOTS OF TIMES AND i was promoted to assistant ride operator. Park had a wonderful smell of natural wood, all staff and managers so helpful. Great day, I have come a long way from bag lady
Scott Planeta
Had a great time today. The coaster was fast, good air time, could ride it all day. The park and staff were both very nice lOOK forward to visitng again.
John Coffield
Thunderbird is one of the best wooden coasters in the world.
And the Boomerang is very smooth... NO Really!
Mike Englander
Excellent park today, with a very wonderful coaster, Thunderbird. Rode it 18 times--couldn't get enough. Arguably GCI's best creation.
Hector Jimenez
Otro parque muy bueno. La Montana Russia de madera , Thunderbird, es uno de los mejores que en encontrado en todo el mundo.
Martin Valt
No matter how many times I visit Scandinavia it never fails to surprise me. Powerpark is an very good park and Thunderbird is an excellent coaster, my favourite GCI to date.
David & Susan Ellis
What a super day! Power Park has a great collection of rides and coasters and everything is just so well looked after, even the older rides looked like new. We were treated as special guests by the park management, and the evening ERS on Thunderbird, the new GCI wooden coaster, was just amazing. Thunderbird is an excellent ride, similar in feel to Thunderhead at Dollywood, twisting and turning all over the place with lovely pops of airtime. To finish the day we had a session on their 45mph go-karts, which for all who braved the course proved a memory that will live on for a long time. Superb!
Becky & Peter Jackson
From the moment we arrived at this park, we knew we were in for a treat... and the day got better! During the day we had 11 rides on Thunderbird the wooden coaster which included a fantastic ERS. The park staff were great and the food provided was very enjoyable. The evening was finished off with a new experience for me & Peter, a fantastic go-kart track. As go-kart virgins this is something we really enjoyed and look forward to trying again in the future. A big thanks to all the Park staff & management, what a fantastic day!
Warren & Lisa Scheinin
What an amazing park! Thunderbird was tremendous -- no dead spots on the track and every seat provided a superb ride. (Even Warren loved it!) The other coasters were icing on the cake. And the go-kart experience was unbelievable. Sure I (Lisa) came in last in my heat, but at least I had the guts to try it...not like some wimps named Martin Valt who was only capable of watching from the sidelines while swilling suds. Anyway, Thunderbird is one of the BEST! Power to Power Park!!
B. Derek Shaw - USA
Traveling three hours by bus to the most northern amusement park in the world was well worth the trek. Power Park is a small, but well maintained park with a nice assortment of rides for patrons of all ages. The boomerang with its non Arrow trains was very smooth, with re-ride-ability - had I had the time. The Joy Ride coaster was also a decent ride, that was the pre-cursor to the crowing jewel to follow.
Until today, I've had seven number one coasters - Thunderbird makes it eight! This GCI woodie never, ever slows down. It really delivers non-stop action. Speaking of action, the Go Kart track is the finest I've ever ridden. Complete with driver jump suits and helmets, we clocked speeds of 48mph. Every other go kart track is pale by comparison. As I write this, it is 11:04pm and still quite bright. The sun set just a little while ago and fog is quite heavy in some of the fields and wooded sections that remind me of Pennsylvania. I guess that's why I keep returning to this wonderful place in the world, Scandinavia.
Derek Cromarty - UK
Ditto.

It's 11:15PM and we're riding back to our hotel in the coach in the daylight of pale blue skies speckled with gray whispy clouds. Lots of tired, but happy coaster riders onboard. Nothing to add to the other assessments of Thunderbird, the splendid woodie gem at this park. Rode it 9 times, and would have ridden more had there been time! Another beautiful day in Finland--cool and sunny. The go-kart track was an added bonus of this park, as was the favorite souvenier of this trip so far--a bag of chocolate-covered sweet labeled "Bull Shit". I believe our coaster group bought out the store's supply.
Andreas and Mechthild Namyslo, Germany
We did not know what to expect from Power Park in particular not after an almost 4 hour bus trip through woods and woods and woods ..... But what a surprise: a fantastic park with a great set of coasters - first of all, Thunderbird. Secondly, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the whole park looked clean and well-maintained. All in all: a fantastic day.
Cheri & Bob Armstrong
A three hour drive north brought us to Power Park. A wonderful park after miles and miles of seeing trees. We first rode Joy Ride, a nice steel family coaster. Then on to Cobra, the best boomerang we have ever ridden. And then Thunderbird, another top notch GCI coaster. What a great ride! We enjoyed an awesome ERS session, and had a great dinner. We then partook of the go karts, something we have only done a few times before. A great day was had by all.
Yvonne Janik
This park was beautiful and so fun, and I loved especially Thunderbird. Also I was amazed by a smooth Boomerang with those great trains. What a perfect day!
Jeppe Nygaard
I had an excellent day today at PowerPark. I was very impressed with the park and how nice everything looked. The staff members were very nice everywhere and were smiling and saying hello to all the guests. Thunderbird was amazing and very well paced - just a superb coaster. Well done, GCII and well done PowerPark for buying such a high quality coaster. The park buffet was really nice too, and we appreciated all the notes written in English by each dish mentioning the ingredients for us. All in all, I had a very good day.
Mick Fryer-Kelsey
Today's visit to Power Park was quite an eyeopener, they had excellent rides, a boomerang with different trains, which made it a smoother ride and their new woody Thunderbird was an amazing ride, it twisted all directions. I'm sure this will be a classic. We also had a session on the go-kart track, driving professional go-karts, average speed 45mph. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, which made for an excellent visit to this park, thanks to everyone.
Liz Fryer-Kelsey
Hello Mouse family, a very nice family park today, lots of small rides for the youngsters, including a little dragon water coaster! or mini log flume. Thunderbird was amazing, I was off my seat for a lot of the ride. Very good mix of rides here and very clean park.
Jim Lawrence
I've been looking forward to powerpark all year I was hopeing it would be good, it was so much better than I expected sort of a small Europa Park nearly all the ride are over themed. Thunderbird is a masterpiece, work of art this was before I'd rode it, WOW what a top coaster this one I could ride all day. Thanks to powerpark for the go karts this was great fun too. plus what park can you get a sauma and shower after all this.
Justin Garvanovic
A perfect day. Thunderbird was on fire - it has broken in so well over the past year. Not a bad seat to be found on the train. As well as the coasters - it may also have the best Boomerang - the staff were top notch, and the buffet meal may well have been the best park meal we've ever had. And it's only day 2.
David Elvy
Power Park, the long drive North was well worth it. A small, but great Park with some great rides, with Thunderbird being the highlight. An amazing GCI Wooden Coaster, smooth and loads of airtime. The ERS was great too, thanks to the crewe and Justin G for being on the mark with the dispatches. Thanks to all at the Park for a great day, and the food was awesome too.
Paul Hindle
Great day again - Thunderbird must be among the top ten woodies in the world - lots of twists & airtime - rode it 15 times (sorry John!). And a rideable boomerang.... Pity it's all in the middle of nowhere !!!!!
Thomas Enders
Alan & Owen Rees
What a wonderful day!! A jewel of a park, set in the Finnish countryside, reflecting the fantastic hospitality we experienced. Thank you!! We'll be back, for sure.
Richard Bannister
What an amazing park, and who'd have thought it? Power Park isn't exactly conveniently located to any major city, yet it is home to a superb wooden coaster, the fastest go-karts I've ever driven, and the strangest thing ever, a Boomerang that doesn't hurt! Huge thanks to the park for showing us such wonderful hospitality; I will definitely be back.
Rob Derman
A perfect day at a perfect park!! ERS on a top ten GCI woodie, and go carts not to be believed!! Writing this at 11 pm, the sun has not set. Like my best friend, no darkness, just a never ending Dawn...
John Gasper
Today we went to Power Park. The almost four hour drive north landed us in a part of Finland which I think is equal to or further north than Alaska. This is the farthest north I have ever been in the world and definitely the farthest north that I have ever ridden a coaster. I am typing this at 11:05 pm. On the bus ride back and it is still broad daylight! I have made the four hour trip home a little easier by sneaking beer out of the park for the bus ride. Speaking of which, last night we visited the oldest pub in Finland and had a pint or five, until they tossed us at 2:15 am. Thunderbird like Thunderhead is a GREAT ride!!!!!!
Dirk Lather
Na was war das denn nun... Power Park!
Vier Stunden Anfahrt und was sieht man...?
Ray Topscher / Kevin Schreiner
What a charming park! Beautiful landscaping, a wonderful wooden coaster in Thunderbird and the most comfortable Boomerang train ever!
Tony and Ethan Conroy
Brilliant wooden coaster offering a thrill every ride.
Best of all was the staff, welcoming and friendly.
First time on a boomerang and survived 6 rides....but then this is a good one. Ethan beat his dad at go carting !!!! ... Finally
Ole Bredesen-Vestby
Great park, great coasters (got myself a new top 5 woodie, and first time I've done a boomerang more than once), great hospitallity, and great food.
Kevin Moran
Very nice park. I enjoyed Thunderbird very much. Still trying to figure out if I like it as much as Troy! The go karts were very fun, and very fast! Even the Vekoma boomerang was fun with the updated trains.
Richard Koppelman
Great to encounter another GCI with balls. Excellent coaster.
Mats "Lewis Hamilton" Hummel
Very nice and clean park. Very good dinner buffet. Thunderbird is a world class woodie, Balder, Phoenix and Voayage are getting top competition here. I have to get back here again. Many thanks to the new ride-ops, Justin and the gang. With a little bit more training they will get the loading really fast! :-)
Power park has such a great owner.
Paul Freeman
A small park but with some great rides and small queues. Thunderbird is now my favourite of the new crop of wooden coasters, fast and furious throughout the entire ride but with a smoothness that avoids shaking the riders to pieces.
A Booster was a nice change to find included in a park rather than as a pay extra attraction.
The Go-Karting after the excellent Thunderbird ERS made a nice end to the day even if I was beaten by a cheating sandal-wearing Swede!
Things I like about Finland : Salmiakki Kosso (Licquorice infused Vodka), Lapin Kulta (Beer), Moomins, Late bars with reasonable priced beer
Things I don't like about Finland : Muusta makkara (Black pudding style sausage with a cranberry sauce)
Things I'm undecided about about Finland : You can eat Meatballs for every meal of the day!
Steve Fagin
Smart clean little park with helpful and professional staff, which boasted a full-size full-size outdoor go-kart circuit. Highlights included a smooth Boomerang (I'm not being ironic), kitted out with swanky new trains (albeit not as close to TTD as the park might have liked to think). Main draw was a recent woodie from CGI: Thunderbird. While not breaking any records for height or scale, this little gem was as wild, intense and frenetic as the best of the new woodies turned out by companies like CGI and Gravity Group. There was the usual insane banking, convoluted tracking and hell-for-leatherness you'd expect from a New Woodie. Good investment Power Park! Also worth adding that the park did a very good job with the food, offering plenty of variety, while taking care of those with special (or fussy, depending on your perspective) diets, like yours truly.
Lars Sorensen
Nice little park, it has to be one of the best GCI coaster I have ridden, maybe even better than thunderhead at Dollywood. I rode my first booster it was great and unlike many it was included in the admission. The go-carts was really fun, only spun once! Mats Hummel won (he has a racing license) and I was only 3 seconds behind him, people say that 3 seconds is alot, but im really proud of myself. This trips has started very well.
Daniel Almer
I had my first credit on a Boomerang today. That makes me really proud because my stomach does not like backward coastering. Well the train was very comfortable and the ride quite smooth but the backward part was still like hell for me. Thank God at Power Park there is also a wonderful GCII woody I really enjoyed. The train of Thunderbird twists and turns through the track without loosing speed, great! I also have to mention the go kart session in the evening on that large track outside. Really a breathtaking experience. It is now half past eleven in the evening and it is still not dark outside, how strange, I feel like it is 08.00 pm.
Matthias Pies
Ken Simmons
It was really nice being able to sleep in a bit today. The ride to Power Park was very long, around four hours, but what was waiting is a really nice park, with a great GCI woodie, Thunderbird. I also had my first ride on a Booster, which is a really exciting ride. What is really wierd, however, is that it is 11:30pm, and it is just getting dark.
Lace Patton
What a wonderful surprise of a park! Impressive rides, beautiful grounds, with a terrific assortment of ride styles. While this park seems to be quite off of the beaten path, it is well worth the time and effort to make this a destination. Hello family.
George Greenway
Powerpark is a the furthest north we are going on this trip. it is nearly midnight now as we are driving 4 hours back to the hotel, and it's still twilight, an amazing sensation. This park is worth visiting for the care the owner is lavishing on the place. the rides are in great form, all riding smooth and fast. the vekoma boomerang is the smoothest in the world thanks to the B&M wheel geometry. I hope other parks see sense and put this refit on theirs. the crown jewel is the woodie. it throws you out of your seat on the curved first drop. the track then twists and turns through itself with loads of airtime and laterals and doesn't loose any pace until it careers into the brake run. the front leaves you hangin over the hills and pushes you into the dips the best ride is in the back for its relentless OMG feeling.
Andy Dewar
I had a wonderful day at powerpark. I expected a lot from my first GCI, but Thunderbird was beyond anything I would have expected. It looks great, rides brilliantly with great pacing, chenges of direction, floaty air and is a perfect example of a woodie. As for the rest of the park, the grounds were well kept and the general attention to detail is excellent, also the lines were short, the staff were freindly, the boomerang was a good example, and the drop tower had a great kick to it. The go-karts were again top notch, as shiny as everything else in the park and the course was awesome. I leave with fond memories of Thunderbird, by far the best woodie I've ever ridden.
Adam King
Great friendly and fun park. Fantastic GCI woodie (Thunderbird) which was very enjoyable and a great ride regardless of which seat you sat in. Also, a very good . . . .Boomerang (yep, you read it correctly)!! We also had a very good go-kart session, with some very shocking driving (guilty parties will remain un-named). Excellent fun! Finnish parks, dont ya just love 'em!!
Andy Wright
The drive to Powerpark was long but in the end worth every part of it. I have been to some small park but none have so far come close to the quality and quantty of rides. The Bomerang Coaster Cobra was even smooth as they go open trains new for Vakoma. But the enjoyable coaster for me had to be my first GCI Thunderbird what a coaster fast from time it drops of the lift hill to the end. The ERS at the end was even better they went all out for us the best so far I have seen from a park. I did enjoy the Go Karting which was also put on for us in the day. I was a great thing to do. I thank all who made this day possible and bring on the rest of the parks.
Kim Varde Lassen
I had NO idea that it was possible to cram that much fun into such a small place...apparently it is. In short: Powerpark is a small park with some amazing rides - both coasters and flat rides. Thunderbird is just the best GCI coaster i've ever been on. Screaming fast and twisty - the ERS delay is totally forgotten. Cobra is (again) the best boomerang I've ever tried. The new train makes for a smooth non-headbanging ride. Still love going round the loop backwards. All other rides were great and the day ending in a go kart session made this day fun-overloaded.
David Cornell
Well, GCI has done it again. Here under the midnight sun, a very fun and unique woody runs wild at the end of a beautiful and fun park called Power Park. The tightly packed twister had me recalling Ozark Wildcat and Kentucky Rumbler. My top 10 list may have a lot of GCIs this year.
This park also features the best Boomerang in the world. I rode it TWICE. It has seat similar to those on S&S drop towers. There is plenty of head room between the over shoulder restrains and the ride was so smooth. The food at our buffet was the best I have ever had at an amusement park. Calmari ring, tuna pizza, small sausages, & corn fritters. Then the final highlight of the day, super go-carts. We donned jump suits and helmets then drove outside on a professional go-cart racing track. If done similar driving in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, near Cincinnati. But these we much more comfortable to sit in and steer. They also ran a bit faster. Driving in the cool evening under a bright but cloud-dimmed sun was fantastic. From now on we move steadily southwest. Let's hope the beautiful weather holds.
Odd Arne Roste
The discussion goes: Which is best Kentucky Rumbler or Thunderhead? I will not go into that discussion because both are superb. The ERS was awesome with Justin as a ride operator. The food was excellent and the day ended up with a great Go Kart session which was fun, even though a Swede was fastest? This park had also the smoothest Boomerang I've ridden, thanks to new trains. Totally a really good day.
Kjetil Roste RIngen
After entering Powerpark my brother and I started running from coaster to coaster like crazy. when we were in the third coaster (Joyride) we noticed some other Norwegians in the queue and that was their first ride... slowbees! Almost no wait time in the queues and very great things to do there. The Thunderbird coaster was incredible awesome compared to Thundercoaster (Tusenfryd, Norway) The ERS was just incredible, the train was probably loaded and emptied more than the double speed of what the original operators could manage. (nice) The food was brilliant (shrimp pizza??), and the GoKart was hilarious! Very, very funny. --------> (My dad told me not to write that I liked the Boomerang, but it was indeed "not that bad". Cheers.)
Torrence Jenkins
Power Park WOW Thunderbird is one great coaster, it has it all, a wonderful fan curve, double dip and lots of speed. The drop ride was quite impressive. The go-karts are the best I have ever ridden. Plus the rain stayed away for the most part.
Mike & Kammy Sislofsky
Powerpark is a really nice little park -- a great surprise! The park is very colorful, clean, nicely landscaped and has a good selection of rides. Thunderbird is a class A coaster hands down. It is fast, smooth, has quite a number of different elements and delivers air time throughout the ride. Every seat we rode in never disappointed. Powerpark also has 3 other coasters, a nice shooting dark ride, a drop tower and a skyscraper that was included with admission. The end of our visit will be hard to beat -- an hour ERS on Thunderbird, a dinner buffet and a ride on their go-carts. This is no ordinary go-cart ride. First, you must put on a racing suit, a face mask and motorcycle-type helmet! The track is laid out so you can actually allow the carts to go top speed, but twisted enough so you have to apply the brakes. This was a great day indeed!
Rendell Bird
I had very few expectations for a park named Powerpark, which happened to be located just a few miles from the Arctic Circle. Indeed, it is nearly midnight as I write this note - and the sky has barely begun to achieve "duskiness". While today is Friday the 13th - it was a good luck day "all the way around". Indeed, the highlight of the day for me was the amazing GoKart track. Barely six inches off the ground - and moving at nearly 40-ish miles per hour. I was completely intent upon NOT being one of the Americans to embarass themselves by spinning-out or crashing. After a slow-lap to get a feel for the track - I stomped the "pedal to the metal". While I didn't "win" my lap, I did have an amazingly fun time. Other highlights included the GCI coaster, Thunderbird; the pizza buffet supper, and the Fabrri "Booster" which was being run at its maximum potential. Truly, a great day was had by all.
Mike Thompson
Friday the 13th has come and gone and this one was a good one. It is just after midnight and we are on the bus, returning to the Holiday Inn Tampere after a great day at Power Park. It looks like dusk outside. It might even become dark by the time we get back at around 2am. (7 hours on the bus today for 7 hours in the park, but it was worth it.) Highlights include Thunderbird (definitely a Top 20 woodie), a western-themed, shoot-em-up dark ride, a Booster skyscraper ride included with park admission, and the world's most incredible go-carts. These go 60 km/h and you must wear fire-proof gear and a helmet, but no seatbelt! It was difficult to wipe the smile off my face afterward. One comment must be made about the buffet meal (other than the one about the nice variety); most things were labelled as to what they weren't, not what they were. Some foods were difficult to recognize, but all was good.
Martha and Al Amborn
Everyone else has remarked about the coasters, but I would like to just add how amazing it is to be traveling back from a "night ride time", only to look at your watch, see it is 12 midnight and the last vestiges of sunset are evident. What a trip! Great parks, coasters and friends are making this such fun. Cheers from Martha at #1093 and Al at #1135 (still more than Richard Bannister!).
Jon Richins
Day two, Powerpark, and once again, a good time was had by all. Thunderbird was a great GCI, smooth and fast, and I did my first Booster (scary). The best was the 10 minutes of race time on the go cart tracks. I was happy to find that I was not the grandmother driver like all my friends state. Weirdest part was seeing bunches of kids peeing just wherever they felt.
Jerry Willard
Two words -- Go Karts!!! Okay, maybe I will say more than that as the day turned out to be a nice surprise. Thunderbird was fun as I consisently expect from the GCI crew. They haven't disappointed me yet. First time on an L&T makes me wish I see more of these. A dark ride (always a nice bonus), the booster, a great buffet dinner all led up to a great day. It was capped off by some tasty laps around the Go Kart track. Before going out on the track I was bouncing around all dressed up in the gear, and throughout I had a big smile on my face (including the two times I spun out on turn one). I still think I was ripped off on my lap time though. :-) I was passing people right and left. Oh well, guess I can keep my day job.
Jeffey Seifert
A very pretty park. I particularly liked all the landscaping around the rides. They obviously paid attention to a lot of details with intricate patterns in the paving stones to textured concrete around the coaster. The flowers and rocks and muti-colored gravels made the park very very pleasing to the eye. An excellent GCI coaster--perhaps the best one to date.

Another small park that offered great fun. I was impressed that for its size, the attention to detail, theming, and landscaping were quite impressive.-- a shame the sun didn't come out to accent this in pictures. Thunderbird is now my favorite GCII -- it is all action; I wouldn't change anything; okay, maybe tunneling the last fifty feet could be fun. The constant directional changes worked superbly here. The meal was great - lots of variety and many comfort foods. Contrary to others, I thought the train on the Boomerang was really strange and no more comfortable. The Mega Drop kept us up in the sky for about a minute. It was quite unnerving and wonderfully scary when we dropped.
(Does it ever get dark here?)

Having a marvelous time. Power Park has a terrific wooden coaster named Thunderbird. Dennis was able to drive very fast go-carts. He had to wear a fire-proof suit and a helmet. Power Park were wonderful hosts to our group.
