Although an early start to the day, the park provided a stop off for the journey to King's Island and a chance to ride the Sea Serpant - a 50yr old woodie, which was a nice little coaster. Not exactly a high thrill ride but perhaps the best choice after the late nights and previous days' excesses. The energy level in some of the group seemed a little low today so it provided them with a chance to charge their batteries before hitting another large park. However a small selection of older flat rides provided enjoyment to those with the stamina to enjoy them. A fun 'monsoon' ride where you could control the rotation of your seat yourself. Hopefully the Sea Serpant won't be affected by the changes planned within the park and change of ownership. Nice warm hospitality and lunch too.

Small park, mostly water park. One small woodie that at least gets the award for being the smoothest on the trip.
Paul Orsmond
A very small park with mostly water park style attractions, but very nice smooth kiddie wooden coaster.

Joepie, once again a kidspark, I love them :s Nice charming woodie celebrating its golden jubilee. I think, after this park, I have been on every American flatride.

In Ohio fire hydrants must be checked one hour before a fire breaks out; more proof of the psychic abilitites of the American People. Whilst this park is hardly going to set the world on fire it's good to see that its future post-six flags is secure. The park doesn't have the best rides but it is popular at least given the number of people turning up to it today.

Sea Serpent is a lovely little coaster. Six of us did a mini marathon of 8 rides without stopping. Happy 50th Birthday to the Sea Serpent.
Steve Fagin
Nice little park with a traditional woodie. I picked up a novelty flipflop together with a handy techno ring which I bought from the gents' toilets.
Michael Badelt
A nice little park with great potential for the future. To expand the water park area seems just about the right thing to do. And the coaster was a nice classic.

Wyandot Lake is a neat little park for our early morning start. The Sea Dragon is a nice-riding classic John Allen coaster. The park seemed to appreciate our visit there and showed us great hospitality. John Gannon gave us a good speech about the history of the park and its future as well.

Wyandot provided a much needed small park after the expanse of Cedar Point. Being able to chill out in the water-park after riding the classic (and very well maintained) Sea Dragon was just what we needed. Now my feet need to prepare for PKI!

Thanks to Emily, Keith, John, and Andy for a great day at Wyandot Lake. We loved riding the Sea Dragon and enjoyed spending several hours absorbing the ambiance of the park. The 50 year old coaster is a very smooth, fun ride with great significance as a JOhn Allen coaster. Thanks for keeping it in such excellent condition, Wyandot.

Sea Dragon - my 851st coaster Richard - is a pleasant and well-maintained, if unremarkable, junior woodie. A pity no club memebrs managed to fall into the lazy river.

Wyandot? Why?? (Ed: Because not all parks are Cedar Point - something it seems some people should try and remember!!!) Would have much preferred a morning at CP.
Steve Davies
Left coaster city, called in at Wyandot, a tiny park with a tame woodie. The biggest thrill was a big wheel, simply because it looked and felt like it was about to fall to bits.
A total opposite end of the spectrum to Cedar Point.

Today we spent the morning at Wyandot Lake, which is predominantly a water park with a few dry rides. Our reason for visiting was to ride John Allen's first wooden coaster, Sea Dragon (1956). The junior woodie was a pleasant and smooth ride. The park hospitality was great, however, being owned by Six Flags, there were some silly rules, such as not being able to take pictures on anything, even the stationary carriages on the carousel. Walking around in large groups and making loud noise was also prohibited, so it was a miracle the Club weren't thrown out! Next stop, King's Island.

Sea Dragon was another nice introductory coaster for children; there was little else here. Food was a joke - dry bun and crisps - no fruit, salad or vegetables at all. As a family-orientated park, it's worrying that people's children are eating this rubbish too.

Sorry, I can't write any trip report about Wyandot Lake this morning. I'm still too impressed by eight consecutive rides (without a stop!) on this classic, mind-changing woodie named Sea Dragon...

It's a shame the weather wasn't too good this morning, it looked like thay had a really nice waterpark!
Nina Kleppe
Wyandot Lake was a nice little park with a fun little woodie. And no hamburgers for lunch, but lasagne. That was good. Shame that it was raining though.

Got one ride on the Happy 50th anniversary Sea Dragon Coaster. Weird being in such a small park after a long day in Cedar Point yesterday, but it was nice... Gratulerer med dagen idag Martin!!
Chris Penn

A great little park with a fine woodie, and a few classic spin rides, had a lot of fun here!
