A surprisingly relaxing day at Geauga Lake which proved again to be a great addition to the trip. Great hospitality with breakfast on arrival. Joint ERS on X-Flight (Vekoma Flying Coaster) and the woodie (Big Dipper) followed. The rest of the park proved to be very quiet so all rides proved to be walk-on. Guest appearence by Snoopy for lunch and a raffle for a good selection of prizes. Thanks to Lexi but I feel she got her thanks from all the prize winners with the kisses and cuddles she had. A couple of hours in the waterpark followed with another 'funnel' slide and a nice way to chill out and end the day.

Thanks to Lexi for the very nice reception at Geauga Lake today which was very much appreciated. Enjoyed the ERS with X-Flight being a nice surprise. Park was really quiet and all coasters could be ridden in good time to enjoy a relaxing 2 hours in the excellent waterpark.

I've visited Geauga Lake before on three occasions and the park has always been overcrowded and poorly run. Today, therefore, was a revelation. With the weather back on our side, the park was very quiet and all rides were run well. Special thanks to Lexi for looking after us so well. Now we're heading to Cedar Point...

Thankfully the weather was a lot hotter today for Geauga Lake and the ERS on The Big Dipper and X-Flight. The park was really quiet and we were able to get everything done. The lunchtime raffle, elegantly hosted by Lexi park PR, was a really nice touch and everyone was a winner. A few beers in the waterpark and now on the coach to the Point and a late ERS on Top Thrill.

After another thunderstorm last night we awoke to more blue skies and headed towards Geauga Lake. We actually managed to ride all the coasters before our lunch as the park was really quiet. The lunch was good and we were all greeted by Paul Worts (we think) dressed up as Snoopy. Afternoon was spent having a few beers in the water park which was also really quiet.
Martin Valt
At first we thought Snoopy was Richard Bannister but then realised he had way too much hair.
PS Lexi. Wow.

I had an excellent day at Geauga Lake today. I was expecting to have a hard time being able to ride all the coasters within the 9 hours we had at the park, but I was able to ride all 10 before our lunch time. Even though there were many coasters, I must admit that the only ones I really liked enough to ride again and again were Steel Venom and Dominator. I felt very welcomed by the park, and Lexi was funny, pretty, and enthusiastic. She was friendly and not shy, and I enjoyed her funny expressions and poses. Now we are on our way to Cedar Point, and Justin just announced that we will have ERS on TTD tonight, ERS tomorrow morning on Millenium Force and also evening ERS on Magnum XL-200. That is too awesome!!
Ogsaa lige en stor hilsen til alle jer derhjemme, Og ja, I ved godt hvem jeg mener :-)

We had a G-awesome day at Geauga Lake thank to the wonderful Lexi Robinson! We loved her enthusiasm, humor, and prizes. She is a great planner and hostess who really understands coaster enthusiasts. The weather was perfect, the lines were short, and all the coasters were running well. WOW!

This trip keeps getting better! the weather today was absolutely fab, blue sky and not a cloud insight. The park was very quiet with little or no queues. I went on my first Vekoma flyier today and was pleasently suprised. It offerred a great ride although not as smooth as a B&M, it still gave a very quick and comfortable ride, with no dead spots. Another of my favorate rides in the park was Dominator, out of the three of the floorless coasters I have been on the trip this one blew them all out the water. Special thanks to the park and its staff for making us all feel welcome and for providing entertainment. Snoopy was great!
Paul Orsmond
A nice day at Geauga Lake and very relaxing, Queues were short so most rides were walk on nearly all day, Batman knight Flight(Now Dominator) is still excellent as is the Impulse. Thanks go out to Lexi for her great hospitality, she treated us with respect and was a great host.

Liz, Crystal and Karl, A large selection of coasters, set in a beautiful location on a lake where we fed the carp. Staff were again very friendly and hospitable, it is nice as they make you feel welcome, and a nice Park to walk around, just to enjoy the park. A fantastic day.

In Ohio its illegal to conduct or participate in a duel, and today I had battled Googoo Lake to see if I could ride all its coasters with the time we had there. As it turned out due to the park being so quiet I had won the duel before lunchtime; not bad going at all. Lexi and her team gave us a ge-reat welcome, Amanda on the "fool the ge-uesser" stall was ge-orgeous and the water park had the most focussed life ge-uard team I've ever come across. I had heard bad things about this park in its previous guise, no complaints with it this time. They even ran two trains on the B&M when they clearly didn't need too. Now we're on our way to the Mecca of coaster rides, a little park in Sandusky called Cedar Point.
David & Susan Ellis
Please can we order days like this? Sunny weather, not too hot, no queues, coasters running with two trains. Excellent day. Also great hospitality with a free tombola for some park goodies, and a VERY welcoming Snoopy at lunch. The only minor negative was the park's rather odd rule that says you cannot film the coasters in the station area...taking stills is fine, but park rules say you can't film them! Why? No operator could offer any explanation. Never mind...now off to Cedar Point!
David Harrington
Geauga Lake was another good park; probably the best ride was Dominator, a B&M Floorless. Because the park was very quiet I'd rode most of the coasters before lunch, and spent most of the afternoon in the water park, which was almost as good as the one at Six Flags New England. The vegan food for lunch was the worst so far - although competition for this prize has been tough.
Chris Simon
Geauga Lake was very quiet - all coasters were walk-on all day with near-empty trains being sent very often, even for the B&M floorless Dominator which was the best ride in the park IMO! The disappearance of Six Flags was very obvious and welcome, with two trains and efficient despatch in spite of the lack of crowds.
Alan Prior & Carolyn Buckley
Only one word to describe today - BRILLIANT! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff were friendly and welcoming and as others have said the rides were walk ons all day. Favourite rides were Steel Venom and Dominator. The despatch times on Dominator were really fast and efficient. We could easily spend a few days there.
Tim Tipler
Good sunny weather 80 deg clean well kept park but most of the coasters were rough Jan and James I have now a phone card will phone soon miss you both TIM

Wow, what a day good sunny weather and no queues and the coasters were not bad either the best being Big Dipper and X Flight. Great hospitality we were treated like vip's a breakfast was laid on,a good lunch and free gifts :> this park is well worth a visit just for a day. now we're off to Cedar Point for some top thrill dragster riding:>
Darren and Mary
Ideal day nice and warm with short queues/lines, Darren says that he enjoyed all the rides especially Dominator. Lunch was nice and everyone was friendly, the raffle was a nice idea.Irode everything except Villain, the ride on X Flight was good but I did not feel that I was safe with all the room at my back when I faced downwards, I suppose that this is something to be enjoyed!!!!
Bob Clark
Delightful park - very quiet with everything a walk on - so quiet that I had 2 consecutive circuits on the Big Dipper with only me on the train - front seat - of course - rather nice.
Leon Schuurbiers
The perfect park! Loads of coasters, very diverse, and no crowds at all! They ran Dominator all day with two trains - I don't think the trains were filled once. X-Flight was excellent, the loading/unloading is stupid but the flying experience is more convincing than a B&M. Raffle was a nice suprise, but why do people keep saying my last name is so difficult to pronounce?

What a wonderful day we had at Geauga Lake! Beautiful weather, walk-on coasters and good food. Mix in a park management that was excited to have us there and the day could not get much better. Thanks for the backpack, by the way! We are on our way to Cedar Point, and that will be my last park on this trip as I am going home tomorrow. This will probably be my last trip report, so I would just like to give a HUGE thank you to Justin, Yvonne and all the others who have organized this trip. I've had a great time! Have a safe trip onwards to Georgia and take a couple of rides on The Voyage for me, will you? Thanks!
Odd Arne Roste
A very nice welcome with breakfast in Geauga Lake. Then ERS on both Big Dipper and X-flight. Mostly walk-on coasters through the park. Steel Venom was a new and exciting experience. Weather like a good Norwegian summer. 5 minutes between trains on Raging Wolf Bobs is a little too much.
David Elvy
Geauga Lake today, I was concerned that we would not have time to ride all of the Coasters. However, the Park was very quiet, and just after lunch, I had done all the Coasters I wanted to ride. The early morning ERS helped this, on the rough Big Dipper and X Flight, which was really nice - more fun than the B&M Versions. The B&M Floorless is quite unique, and has more twist sections rather than going from inversion to inversion. The Park has some great coasters, and rides, as well as a great atmosphere. I also managed a few hours in the waterpark. The weather was glorious, so it was nice to hit some slides and cool down. The Liquid Lightning slide, is one of the best waterslides I have been on. We are now on our way to Cedar Point, the next few days is going to be a blast. Keith - got you a T-Shirt today.

This was a nice day, sunny, warm and teenagerfree!! very few people in the park, and that in turn meant no queues and no noise - am I getting old?? The rides where a plenty, some where really good - Dominator dominated, yeaaah - but the park was also inhabited by a rough, uncomftable Villain. What an awful ride... to be honest. Other ups: water park, great slides, entertaining lunch without burgers for a change. Other downs: Mechanical robot-like ride-ops and lifeguards with no carisma what so ever. I know they're there for my safty, but a smile once in a while could be nice. Looking forward to tonight and tomorrow: CEDAR POINT...... aaawwsome dude!!
Terry Jarvis
I've been here three times before and never reaily liked the place, mainly due being extremely busy. Today has been very different the park has been very quite and all the rides have been a walk on, and its fair to say i've had a great time here, and i look forward to returning, and a big big thankyou to the park on its generous hospitallity.
Steve Fagin
Glorious weather topped off a nice park which offered lunch-time entertainment on a par with Kennywood (i.e. great). This was combined with a selection of rides which - while perhaps not world-beating - were nonetheless very enjoyable. For once, I got to visit a waterpark with minimal queues, where the water was warm and there was even a hot shower (you had to walk through the toilets to get from shower to changing room - gross.) A surprise highlight of the day was the Lazy River. This was an almost Mario-esque experience in the sunshine, albeit patrolled by extremely taciturn cyborg-style attendants with whistles fused to their lips. Great day, sweet park. A few of the ride ops stood out as particularly helpful and friendly. Defining moment: the beautiful architecture of the B&M. 2nd-place Defining Moment: the Lazy River. Worst moment: the proximity of urinals to changing facilities.
Bart Van Goethem
With loads of sun today our visit at Geauga Lake couldn't be ruined. Had many rides during the ERS and afterwards it kept on going as it was really quiet. The food was not great. Those Americans still think that vegetarians/vegans only eat salad, but the entertainment during lunch was great. Thanks Lexi that I could swear to you in Flemmish, I really needed it! The waterpark couldn't be missed on such a day. Relaxing in the wavepool, had many slides and the lazy river. Loved it!

I have never been to Geauga Lake before STOP It has always been the park you pass when on the way from Kennywood to Cedar Point STOP Big mistake STOP Loved the X Flight STOP Still prefer B&M flyers though STOP Vekoma should be installing those rubber vests on all of their inversion coasters to avoid headbanging STOP Big Dipper classic woodie, but a bit on the rough side STOP Villain provided a quite nice second half, after some roughness on the first few hills STOP Batman, ahem, I mean Dominator the most interesting B&M floorless I've ever been on, but needs new Wheels bandages STOP Raging Wolf Bobs much better than expected STOP Oddly enough, the newly retracked turn was the roughest of them all and slowed the train almost to a halt STOP Those Gerstlauer trains are surely no match for good PTC ones, but I expected much worse STOP Surprisingly smooth Vekoma Boomerang STOP Now there's two good Boomerangs out there, With Geiselwind's being the other STOP Had a good relaxing swim at the waterpark STOP Absolutely reckless bodyslides STOP Jakob would have loved them STOP I hated them STOP Now onto Cedar Point STOP
Peter Jackson ( AKA Duck Man LYB )
Geauga Lake welcomed us with a breakfast of coffee, fruit juice & fairy cakes. A lovely park set next to a lake stocked with fish and DUCKS! A nice lunch of chicken breast, baked beans, hamburgers and hot dogs etc. Four bread rolls accidentally fell into my bag, however the ducks and fish semed to appreciate them. The morning was spent riding all the coasters & the afternoon in the water park. While in there a duck landed in the hot water pool, it was the first time I had swam with a Duck five feet from my head. previously only a Dolphin and Rays at Disney. An enjoyable day free gifts from the park and plenty more walking.
Paul Hindle
Another great park. Did eight coasters by lunchtime (great chicken - not DUCK) then finished up on the Bobs after lunch. Never rode the Bobs at Belle Vue - only the Scenic Coaster when a kid. Had a great time in the water park - soaking up sun & splash. Very friendly park - and no crowds or kids. Roll on CP.
Lorna & Adrian Dade
Another excellent park, Managed to do all 10 rollercoasters before lunch!! Raffle was great fun. Park staff were great and made us feel really welcome. Adrian went on Steel Venom his first backwards coaster and was frightened to death on X Flight coaster,
Val & Derek Cromarty
Val watched the robot from mars show, this was only her 2nd ride on the trip. Great park, friendly Staff, cheap candy floss which Derek enjoyed eating (everyone else enjoyed watching him eat it!! pink fluffy lips). Hello to Maggy & Jim
Peter Procter
"YOU CANNOT TAKE PHOTOS OF THE TRACK!". Best staff ever, no really - one even smiled once!
Steve Davies
Nice lakeside park, and warm sunshine!! Enjoyed the impulse coaster, and the X flight (Flying Dutchman) in small doses due to intensity, B&M and Villain were rough, but Big Dipper was good. Sunloungers also good for chilling out on! Les, can't talk as no signal on phone, so say hello to everyone!
Even Stangebye
They got some good coasters and some really nasty ones in Geauga Lake - luckily my ribs are still unbroken after a ride on the Villain. Never again! But the park was nice, great ERS and as a big surprise; hamburgers for lunch!! Where is the Lapskaus??
Ole Bredesen-Vestby
Started the day in the back row of the Big Dipper... ouch... thought my back would break. Luckily it didn't. Managed all 10 coasters plus the log flume before lunch. Great park, great weather, and almost no queue lines even after lunch.
Nina Kleppe
The day started off with an hour ERS on X-Flight and Big Dipper. Then we got to do the other eight coasters so we got our credits. We also got to do the log flume and the 4-D movie. Now we're off to Cedar Point.
