ECC Trips
From time to time during the year, members of the European Coaster Club are invited to participate in trips to ride roller coasters and other thrill rides all over England and the rest of Europe.
A trip will normally spend one or more days at a park and include food and at least one ERS (Exclusive Ride Session, where a ride is given over for a period, usually an hour, for the exclusive use of ECC trip-goers). Sometimes, some "extras" can also be arranged, such as a "behind the scenes" tour. The detailed trip invitations (issued a few weeks before the trip) explain what each trip includes.
On this page you will find reports written by Club members about trips they have enjoyed and information about forthcoming Club events. If you like what you read why not join the European Coaster Club now and you'll be invited along to the next Club trip!
As usual, all ECC members will receive detailed printed invitations to all Club events by post, but if you have any questions about Club trips or suggestions for future events, please email John Livesey (ECC Trips Coordinator)

France
29 April – 1 May 2006
Many of you have been asking for the return of the cheap weekend dashes to mainland Europe. Last year we did Holland and this year we’re returning to France. We’ve organised a three-day dash to Paris taking in Parc Asterix, Jardin d’Acclimation and of course the Foire du Trone.

Fish and Dips - Southend Adventure Island

Join us for our first ever trip to Adventure Island at Southend-on-Sea! This often overlooked park is home to no less than three coasters plus a whole host of other great rides. We have a an hour Exclusive Ride Session (ERS) on one of their coasters along with a group lunch. There will be ride take-overs during the day too!

The American Adventure
May 27th - June 14th 2006
The long awaited trip to what is usually called “Coaster Central” in the US. It’s a trip that we’ve wanted to do ever since the Club was formed but there have been too many other “must see” coasters, throughout Europe, which have kept interrupting us!
We’re going to be visiting around 20 parks, riding over 100 coasters and visiting nine different states!

White Knuckle Weekend 9 - Blackpool Pleasure Beach
1&2 July 2006
Our annual return to two coaster filled days at Pleasure Beach, Blackpool. We have Exclusive Ride Sessions arranged on no less than FIVE coasters during the weekend. It's always a great trip and if you've not been before then make 2006 the year you break your duck!

Thorpe/Chessington
16/17 September 2006
We return to outer London's two best parks for a weekend filled of roller coaster fun!
On the Saturday we visit Thorpe Park, home of Colossus, Nemesis: Inferno and the new for 2006 Stealth. We are pleased to offer ERS's on two of their best coasters (Inferno and Stealth)
Sunday sees us at Chessington with ERS's on Vampire and Dragon's Fury.

Germany
28 September – 2 October 2006
Who fancies doing six parks and a beer festival in five days? We do! This is exactly what this German trip comprises and we think it’s going to be great fun.

Airpocalypse 4 - Alton Towers and Drayton Manor
Sat 21st - Sun 22nd October 2006
Another weekend of fun at Alton Towers and Drayton Manor. We have Exclusive Ride Sessions (ERS's) confirmed on Nemesis and Rita: Queen of Speed at Alton Towers.
We also have the customary 3-course dinner at Drayton. Yum Yum!
