ECC Trips
From time to time during the year, members of the European Coaster Club are invited to participate in trips to ride roller coasters and other thrill rides all over England and the rest of Europe.
A trip will normally spend one or more days at a park and include food and at least one ERS (Exclusive Ride Session, where a ride is given over for a period, usually an hour, for the exclusive use of ECC trip-goers). Sometimes, some "extras" can also be arranged, such as a "behind the scenes" tour. The detailed trip invitations (issued a few weeks before the trip) explain what each trip includes.
On this page you will find reports written by Club members about trips they have enjoyed and information about forthcoming Club events. If you like what you read why not join the European Coaster Club now and you'll be invited along to the next Club trip!
As usual, all ECC members will receive detailed printed invitations to all Club events by post, but if you have any questions about Club trips or suggestions for future events, please email the trips team
Of course, all the trip photos are available in the Photo Gallery
Future Trips
If you're interested in what trips we are planning for the future, please see our Future Trips Schedule where we list all our planned trips, no matter what their status.
Future trip schedule
This is a list of all future trips, no matter what their status. This means that you'll be able to keep abreast of what we're working on, and hopefully be prepared for them long in advance. It will by no means be a complete list down the last trip as some of the larger trips will be on the list before smaller trips.
We sincerely hope that publishing this list gives more of you the opportunity to attend some of the trips.

Totally Twisted Tour
Wednesday 1 June - Sunday 5 June 2011
We don’t really need an excuse to head back to Scandinavia, so when Gröna Lund announced that it was to build a wooden coaster, we got to work on this trip right away. Our five day trip will take in four parks, two of which we've never visited before.
Deadline: 3 December 2010
We will also be sending out a "day by day" invite to everyone on the mainland at a later date, but if anyone from elsewhere wants to come along to individual parts of the trip, please let us know.
Deutschlandrunde 2011
Saturday 9 July - Saturday 23 July 2011
Over the past few years, it does seem as if Germany was the place to go for new coasters, and 2011 will see a whole load more being added.
We’ve organised many trips to Germany in the past, but none have taken in so much of the country as this one. In fact, we’re in effect doing a large loop around pretty much the entire country!
The trip lasts for fifteen days and will take in 20 parks and one fair. We’ll start and end in Munich and loop anti-clockwise around Germany. Some of the coasters on the schedule include El Toro at Freizeitpark Plohn, Blue Fire at Europa Park, the new as yet unnamed B&M at Heide Park, the new Freischütz Maurer launched coaster at Bayern Park, Fluch von Novgorod at Hansa Park, ring°racer at Nürburgring, Black Mamba at Phantasialand, Mammut at Tripsdrill and GeForce at Holiday Park. We will also be taking a day trip to France to ride Monster, the B&M Inverter at Walygator Parc.
Deadline: 19 November 2010
We will also be sending out a "day by day" invite to everyone on the mainland at a later date, but if anyone from elsewhere wants to come along to individual parts of the trip, please let us know.
